    Default Reputation destroyed question

    1. is ther eany way to remove this feature from SS. I like everything else about the mod except this. It says I have to meet the enemy in the field to avoid this, but that's hard to do when you don't know they're coming as they can go from their land to your gate in one turn.

    2. If it can't be removed, exactly how do I go about meeting them in the field?

You can remove it. Go into your Stainless Steel/Data folder and open Export_descr_character_traits.txt.
    Search for "Dishonor1" (without quotes).
You should reach a line that says "Trigger Dishonor1"
Put a ; at the start of that line and every line down to ";to punish..."
Save the file. Next time you load your game, the trigger will no longer work and you won't receive that trait anymore. If a general already has it, it may reset the next turn. If not, you'll have to use the console "remove_trait" command with the trait Dishonor.

    Thanks Neu.

actually, in a fit of frustration, I already wnet and deleted it. Except I actually just deleted the whole section rather than changing the trigger. I figured that changing the trigger might do weird things that I did'nt notice, whereas just deleting it altogether would either work or CTD.

The trait is still listed on the ones who had it, but when you scroll over it says that the description was'nt found, and I don't appear to be getting the penalties from it now. think the next release is'nt going to have that in it.

I know some people liked it, I did'nt. If it were me, I'd leave it in the next release, but offer a traits file that has it removed for people to download. Same with the supplies feature.

The description not found stuff is why I just comment out (the ";") the trigger. It keeps it from ever happening. If you delete the trigger, it gets the same effect. I try not to delete the trait itself, since it won't appear without the trigger and it avoids possible errors if any characters still have it.

    Hi sir,

I have already commited to releasing an easy version and an expert version so people can take their pick as there is such variety amongst players. Hope Neumanf15's answer sorts you out for now.

    @PO14K
Yes, watch towers and border guards and forts are the answer.

No, I don't believe so. I haven't ran into a situation where anyone in a fort rebels, nor have I seen any rebel forts.

In fact, with the Moors, I had a turn where I was guaranteed to have someone rebel. I reloaded so that that my general wouldn't rebel, but after 3 reloads I decided to be strategic. I put my general in a fort and he didn't rebel (but another one did), so I put him in a fort also, and a captain rebelled (couldn't do anything about that).

So from this, I believe that forts are immune to rebeling.

"YOU'RE NOT MY KING" "I WON'T MOVE ANYWHERE" can happen everywhere, even in a fort... :-(
