Where's the manifesto? Usually there's at least some outline of the goals and methods used to attain them.

What enemy does a one world government have to justify an army? Aliens? Or the people?

Why support inefficient enterprises and those things which people do not want? Doing those things harm, not help, the greater good.

And of course, soak the rich! No "free" education for them. Sounds like amdition and excellence are qualities not to fostered, m' lord.

    5,001-10,000 WGD$ Is a 15% income tax.

    10,001-15,000 WGD$ Is a 30% income tax.
So the guy that makes 10000 keeps 8500 and the guy who makes 10001 keeps 7001

    10,001-15,000 WGD$ Is a 30% income tax.

    15,0001-20,000 WGD$ is a 45% income tax.
Now the dude making 15000 keeps 10500 and the guy making 15001 keeps 8251

Is any one else seeing something wrong here?

And I bet it gets worse

    15,0001-20,000 WGD$ is a 45% income tax.

    20,001-60,000 WGD$ is a 60% income tax.
Ok the guy making 20000 keeps 11000. And the guy making 20001 keeps 8001. Even less than the guy making 10000 and only better than the poor slob who went over 10000.
I have nothing against the womens movement. Especially when Im walking behind it.

you have it wrong. The taxes are taken in steps. THe first 10k of what you earn is taxed at 15% Between 10k and 15k is taxed at 30%

The man that earns 10k keeps 8.5k
The man that earns 10,001 keeps 8,500.70

    And so on.. Understand?

The ideas in this thread are an example of everything that is wrong with socialism and why it should have absolutely no place in any sane country.

With taxes that high, any incentive to work a higher paying job goes out the window because people are taking on higher responsibilities without compensation.. Which then means that people won't work higher paying jobs, which means important positions will go unfilled, or will be filled by unmotivated, possibly corrupt employees. Which then means that there will be less wealthy people to tax and therefore less money for the government to spend on social programs.

And why should failing businesses, theaters, museums and small farms be subsidized by the government? All this does is punish success and reward failure. It just promotes laziness and ineptitude while punishing hard work and talent. It's no wonder socialism is such a disaster with thinking like that, everything is backwards.

Why should education be free for everyone? It's not a right. It's a service like any other in an economy. I don't see why people are so hung up on education. The fact of the matter is, not everyone can or should do white collar office work that requires a college education. The world needs plumbers and farmers and ditch diggers too. This whole idea that everyone should get a free education and work a wonderful high paying job is complete garbage because that's not the way that the world works. The whole world can have a BA and all that's going to do is make the BA worthless as an achievement (so if people want to get ahead they'll have to get a Master's or a PhD), and you'll just have people with BA's digging ditches and cleaning up garbage. This whole idea that education is the great equalizer, so if everyone gets an education everyone will be "equal" is just stupid. People are already naturally equal to one another, they don't need an education to do this. Legal equality is what matters, where everyone has the same rights, not economic equality. Economic equality is just garbage as far as I'm concerned. No one has an inherent right to make the same amount of money as someone else. Economic equality is at best well-intentioned but uninformed idealism and at worst greediness and tyranny.

The idea of a world government is ridiculous. It's never going to work because everyone loses virtually all their representation in a world government. How can a country like Croatia possibly be represented when there are countries like China in a situation like that? A world government would be a complete disaster and the only way it could even hope to stay in power would be to rule through repressive, abusive, totalitarian means.

Socialism is the opium of the people.

    The Knight 2100.

And Nordic countries such as Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway are exellent examples how well socialism can work if not taken into far edges.

People should be equal only under the law, not wealth. Aquisiton of wealth is part of what drives people to higher end jobs.

This sounds like discrimination against the Rich. Hey I hate rich people as much as the next guy but what your saying would force everyone to not be rich.

So okay your very successful and all but if you make too much you'll get penalized? So how are you supposed to develop a business that's not limited by the government? How will you provide independent services needed for society without price gouging from the 1 government?

The other thing that struck me was how the Government had its own army. Army for what? Security? Okay but how big it would it be? Or would that too be under the government?

The Education system I like and think be great ( except for the price penalties for the reach). Its too much like Communism in which its putting too much control into a single body. Doesn't matter if there are dozens of other nations, there's still plenty of room for corruption and regimes. Or a few political interests.

It be best if you had separate governments maybe even combine a few so there are only 4-7 and have them in union but their own regulations for each, that way you have a more of a check and balance should one get out of hand.
