hi i've looked all through the faction previews and was wondering whether Rhodian hoplites, like all non-mainland hoplites, are slightly inferior to mainland hoplites?

I know this has little to do with the topic but i didn't want to create a new thread for this one question.

Yes they are slightly inferior, similar to ionian island hoplites. Their armies make up for it with missile troops and cavalry of uncommon quality (rhodian slingers), and they have a different hoplite for all of their starting cities, each better in a different way than the common one (we can differentiate with charge values, defense, attack, weapons quality, morale etc)

I am looking forward to your mod as it looks to be very well researched and as historically accurate as a game can get with lots of historical diversification and variety amongst the troop types.

I wouldn't be willing to disagree with you that the ionians and rhodians fought well, but when we give unit stats they're rated versus other similar units- and the ionians didn't quite measure up to the Spartans and other mainland cities. Agreed?

Nice try, but don't play the victim here.

If you take a look at the Unit preview threads, and other new goodies that were released to the public that we still to this very day drool over - they were posted literally days apart, some a month or so. There was progress back then. The last update was over a year ago. There has been a grand total of 0 additions since then.

I love the concept behind the mod and seriously hope for all your fans that it gets released eventually, but there's a point when you get the weekly/monthly "Is this mod still alive?" post, one might reconsider if they are trying to resuscitate a dead cold body.

You think you're the one losing out? How about the rest of us. I've sat here over a year twiddling my thumbs, hoping every time I log onto TWC that something new has come out. This isn't just me, this is everyone reading this thread and everyone always saying "have faith".

I'm sorry to burst your bubble by saying that this mod passed away, but ask yourselves this, "What have we gotten over the past year other than the overused 'Yes we're still here, and working on it.' phrase."

I'm sure I'm the one who's been living under a bridge.
