1.2 Patch?

Alright, I've recently done a system restore and now I have to reinstall M2. First, I mad the mistake of downloading 1.1 first, and then 1.2. Then I got an "unspecified error" when I started up the game. So, I deleted everything and re-reinstalled the game. Then, I downloaded 1.2 only. The error box still pops up and I am still unable to play.

If this is in the wrong forum, then I apologize, but I see no other spot to put it. I DID think it was because of a mod I installed after 1.2 (UAI 1.5) but now I know it's not, so there's no problem with the mod.

Have you tried downloading the patch from a different location? Might be a corrupt file.

well, I just realized that it's not the patch at all. I just reinstalled it for like the third or fourth time, and this time I didn't update it or anything. I started it up and the same problem occured! So for some reason, it's not installing right or something like that. It won't even launch the program. It tries, but it can't do it. I know my system is more than good for it, but I don't know what's going on!

Try running this http://www.kvipu.com/CDCheck/download.php to see if some files on your cd are corrupt or missing. If they are you may have to contact CA and see if you can get a replacement cd.
