Well, i had an idea just now. I have very little modding experience myself am i'm willing to help anyway I can if some people decide to take this idea up.
Now for a little information on the era. Well, the 3 kingdoms period was from roughly 184 AD to 234 AD. Set in China between this time, many Warlords had desires to unite all China under their one banner. It starts with the Yellow Turban Rebellion, lead by Zhang Jiao and helped by his two brothers who took advantage of the crumbling Han Dynasty, to spark widespread rebellion across the land. The 3 kingdoms Era comes to an end in some peoples views with the death of Zhuge Liang in 234 Ad at the Battle of Wu Zhang but could continue further until about 260-270 AD.
The map, I thought would be divided into roughly 100-150 provinces and from memory at least 15 factions all playable. Turns could be divided into months giving about 450 turns depending on the timescale. One aspect i thought interesting about this particular mod would be historical battles. Now i've no idea if these can be modded, but there would easily be prospect for a minimum of 10.
The units in this campaign would be quite similar in some respects, but it would feature new units, such as Bai Ma Cavalry or Nanman Elephants. Generals would also be given some alterations, with hopefully unique pictures or horse armour, it all depends on which general. For instance, Liu Bei would have his twin swords if this is possible.
Any thoughts are very welcome, like i said, i'm hardly even a basic modder but any people willing to get the ball rolling will be appreciated![]()
