Editing with TIME?

So I want to seriously edit the campaign map down to maybe 30 provinces for a number of reasons, and am only aware of TIME for doing so. The problem is this: the game doesn't work when I use TIME with Platinum. It seems that just using TIME causes the game to crash when I go to start a new campaign.

So what am I doing wrong, or are there just no easy ways to edit this?

I think TIME never works.....look at the mapping mod workshop forum....they use a different tool...here is it http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=421

No, you are wrong.
I'm using TIME editor and it work very fine!
You have only to be patience since it force you to fix many small "errors" in RTRPE (fix possible by message window reporting error that appears after RTW CDTs) and, after variuos attempts, it works very well.

Now thanks also to this editor I'm creating a mode approximately: RTW 1.5 + RTRPE 1.9 + 4 Roman factions + ExRM.
This mod is only for my fun but, if I'll publish it for everybody, I'll ask for permission to RTPE and ExRM authors.
