Which is the best guitar type for you??

Heya guitarists and guitar solo lover rockin' fellows...

I always admired the famous guitar constructions, and daily read about guitars, especially because I think Im gonna buy a Gibson copy 'cause I wanna use humbuckers instead of single coil pickups.

Whats the best guitar type for you? The holy Cow: Stratocaster? Or good ol' Tele? Les Paul? Some fancy new construction? Flying V? An idiotic rectangular Bo Diddley axe?

You can post your personal aesthetical taste, as well as technical considerations...

Hmm. I just got the acoustic guitar I've wanted since I started playing. I'd always desperately wanted a Martin D-18, and I'm not dissappointed.

I think the electric that best suits me would be the Gibson SG, but my next guitar will be the Eric Johnson signature Stratocaster.

My favorite was Stratocaster, but I have a Telecaster copy. Sounds not bad even though being a very cheap copy. Typical sharp singe coil sound.
However its tuning pegs are **** and for other reasons I must buy a more reliable, more expensive guitar and that will be a Gibson Les Paul copy!

I would like to try a Rickenbacker 360 though!

Those axes cost about 2000 bucks..

on a proper fender stratocaster (lots 'o' money) you get the best tone ever (think pink floyd) but a les paul gives you a good tone every time, besides LOOK AT THEM they are the sex!!!

I fell in love with the Flying V after watching Albert King sex it up. But then realized only Albert King can make it do that...

This is what I play. Ibanez s2170fb. Nothing else I've played even comes close...... including original 60's strats, and custom shop gibsons.

almost all guitars with a floyd rose come with a detachable whammy bar.

Yeah.... its got the ibanez ZR bridge. Similar to a floyd rose, but much much nicer. They just didn't screw the bar in, for that photo

Same. Playing Hendrix style is starting to get annoying.......especially on a cheap ol' Squier Strat.

Left handed guitars seem strangely expensive... they are just a reversal of a normal guitar yet the seem to cost more

Very true and sad. And think about the colours...you just cannot have any colour you like. You can decide to buy the brown Epiphone...you dont like the colour? Sorry mate, only right handers can choose a colour!
