    Default Faster?

    Why does the units kill each other sooo slowly??? The stats are ok, which shouldn't result in the slow fighting. So, is it due to the increased stat_fire delay? I realised an increase in it. I don't like the slow fighting, it makes my game boring....i'd prefer a more intense fight. So hope someone can point me in the right direction.

    Well thats sort of the whole point. The battles are suppoes to be longer. I think it makes the game more tacticul. Quick battles are just annoying because it all about who has the better troops.

    If you want to make battles longer the only way I can think of is to raise there attack stats

    I want the battle to be faster not longer. Usually i end up giving my orders and rotting on my chair while i see my troops fight like snails. If i revert the stat_fire delay back to 0 instead of the 5000 in the EDU file, will it help?

    I never said that you wanted them to be longer. I said the battle are suppoes to be longer.

    If you want faster battles then just use the speed settings beside the radar map. Then you won't have to mod anything

    Slower battles are better, gives you time to out manouver the enemy.

    i agree slow is better, i have won several battles by out manouvering my enemys and moving reinforcements in to support and flank enemys.

    all my battles as rohan are quick... but then again, ive only encountered dunland... and they have crap morale... reiddermark spears make chain rout faster than you can say "hamburgers"

    Can someone please tell me the proper way????
    I prefer faster battles as it is more intense, leaving you with less time to plan your moves, thus, many surprises and unexpected things can happen on the battlefield. Instead of the slow battles whereby its so easy to defeat the AI by outmaneuvaring and flanking them.
    Though, this is my personal preference, i'm not trying to start a debate or something but i just want to play this wonderful mod the way i like it to be.

    Hang on guys....we are kinda going a little off topic.
    I'm asking how do i revert to the original speed...(what do i have to change?)
    And not whether i should have longer battles or not.

    Change loads o stats and ruin the unit balance is how.
    Or just use the speed up buttons.

    Change every units stats (200+ of them) and say good bye to the unit balance, or fast forward it.

    Well i've already made out a list on rebalancing the stats. Besides, the units' current defences and attack don't seem to make much difference to ensure a long battle. Anyways, thanks for the replies.
