Why are Genocides so important for people?

I have to start with that I hate lies, so what I say is basically info I hae got or something I have read. Thank you for coming here.

Genocide is according to many people something very bad. the holacaust being declared as the worst of human history by exactly everybody.

But there are other genocides too, such as the Armenian. Many people denies it and others say it has happened. What I don't understand is how it can be soo bad, still so good. with good I mean important. Why do people want recognition of genocied? isn't the msot important thing that you know yourself?

I can list up to, well many genocides which has never been recognized or they aren't even known to people.
Let me start with the best one that has no name.
the mass murder of Iranians during arab conquest. Do you know how many that died? or do you know what really happened during it. i bet you don't
Followed by the " year of the sword" the genocide against Assyrians by the ottoman turks, My assyrian friend thaught me about that. I never knew it existed. but it did.
Massacre of Jerusalem. Where the Sassanid forced together with jewish allies captuerd Jerusalem from the Romans and slaughtered 90 000 christians. Or before that when the Romans captured Jerusalem and slaughtered all Zoroastrians and jews living there.

the massacre at samarqand and all other massacres duyring the mongols. This seems to be facinating to people rather than horrible.

I don't get it, why are some genocides more important than other? why does people want genocides to be notices. I thought people were against murders and death, But no. everyone seems to want them. These are all tragic moments during history, instead of trying to force it on other that they have happened why not give yourself a minuete, and think over what happened. Be sad, show it if you like to. But do not force it over somebody else.

To my fellow Armenians. I know this was a sad moment during your history, personally I think it has happened. But do not try to force it over others. it won't work and it is always bad to force people to something, especially forcing their minds.

To my fellow Assyrians- One day you will get your own land, I know the horrible disasterns people have brought over you have left scars. But don't let it decide who you should hate and love. The people doing that are long dead, try to work this out. It is better to love than hate.

So tell me, Why is genocide such a good thing? why does people want genocide? It is a scar in human hearts and minds, that those we know of ever occured, why making things worse by telling humans about other massacres of our own race, by our own race?

Because most of the Genocides you listed have little or no relavance today on the international or national scale.

However, the armenian genocide is a modern issue with severe political, social and economical rammifications both for Armenia and Turkey. Its one of the reasons that Turkey isnt allowed into the E.U.

So tell me, Why is genocide such a good thing? why does people want genocide? It is a scar in human hearts and minds, that those we know of ever occured, why making things worse by telling humans about other massacres of our own race, by our own race?

Ignoring past mistakes is an easy way to repeat them.

Even if you dont ignore them they would still be repeated anyway.

It's a false dilemma. I'm not saying that it will prevent all future genocides, I'm just saying that if you put your head in the sand and yell "NOTHING HAPPENED!", it's not going to help things.

If Turkey isnt in the EU because of the Armenian Genocide, why is Germany in the EU? Has Turkey not fessed up?

genocide is obviously not a good thing on any level-- but it has happened you could call the american indians and aboriginal australians as having had genocide committed on them as well.

people do it because its natural to want to remove competition for resources on an instinctual level; the reason people want recognition for it, is because its the single most horrific crime imaginable.---

All morals aside, it's quite understandable why the Romans killed so many Gauls.

In ancient times genocidal warfare was common.

You kill all the males (old or young) and take all the females as slaves. As they will never again breed with their own race, you have committed racial genocide.
