does anyone else think they should be toned down a bit at the moment they own all europe nearly and i didnt mind the gauls being a bit warlike or whatever becuase they could be beaten but the germans have whole armys of chosen axemen which cant be beaten with pre marius legions and its realy annoying is it possible to changer them please.

I had a full republican (marian) legion protecting a mountain pass, with a good loyal general leading it. Then the Germans attacked with a full stack and a half stack, many chosen axemen inside. The battle was long and uncertain, but at the end some cohorts began to falter and all my line collapsed. Less than 100 romans survived, and my general is now disgraced! I never suffered such a disaster before the marian reforms.
But I will take vengeance, I'm already preparing a couple of legions to give them a lesson and retake the lost eagle.
Yes, it is very hard at times, but where there is challenge there is fun. I wouldn't enjoy myself if my legions were always winning, and there were no surprises that hinder my plans, it would be almost pointless playing lol

Yes the superpowers fix is a separate add-on. You can reach its page from my signature. It's savegame compatible, but you MUST use the SPQR script for the fix to work. Basically, after you install the fix, AI factions will mostly stay within their original border; they are still aggressive, but they get penalties if they conquer too much.

Yes you are right. For now I try to make it visible with my signature, but in the future I will collect my fixes in a single pack that would be easy to find.

Germany is Fine, they just happen to have a better Hardcoded AI than Gaul. CA hardcoded alot and some factions behave a certain way that cannot be changed. Example is Carthage.

Basically you shouldnt be fighting the germans with Premarius legions and you shouldnt be taking too much Land with Gaul with Premarius. You should forcus on Carthage Destroy them with Premarius units and then after that is done focus on Gaul, you will be better equiped and have the money for the REAL legions that will help you with the rest of the game.

You also need to read the Thread and suggestions, they are NOT their just for GP, they are there to help new players that are use to Spamming or play the vanilla or other slow mods to Play SPQR and how to win.

i no not to conquer gaul becuase of the germans i was happily killing carthage until the germans came i'll get a pic if i can be botherd and if i download the super power thing now wil the german empire shrink or just stop them expanding becuase they have 5 big armys comin for me.if it doesnt work ill try plan 2 which is let the senate fight them ill fall back to the sout of italy and let some proper senate legions get them, or is that against house rules??

I think it's OK, after all once a enemy reached italy legions sprang up from nowhere, he advantage of having the entire male population as vetrens.

i have no idea what your talking about but im guessing their german tribes abut anyways to install the super power fix do you just extrsct it and then copy it into the data file because that what i did but i didnt say anything.
