Is there a patch order you need to install in? Or can I jump straight to 1.3?

How do you find our your war exhaustion?
![]()
What I do to find it, I check the Revolt risk in any of my provinces.

Thanks all, this game is pretty hardcore :hm:
I don't think it is. It's a little difficult to learn it, but when you'll learn it, you will enjoy it.

Anyways, another question!![]()
What triggers your ability to release vassals? As it wont let me release Wales, Cornwall, Northumland and Flanders (well, depending if the button isnt grayed out for some unknown reason)
As I want to create Flanders. However when the button isn't grayed out it Flanders doesn't show up, even though I have one of their core provinces (forgot the name, its right by France)
Do I need to control all of they're core provinces to release them or something? And why does that button grey out now and then... :hm:
Anyway thanks.. if you can understand that![]()
You don't need all of their core provinces to releash them, one is enough.
if you are at war you can't releash vassals.

I'm only trying to release Calais (to form Flanders as soon as I have the other 3 of its core provinces.. forgot names sorry) so I don't have to bother defending as much and I wont have to deal with conflicts on the continent (as much).
Plus when Flanders is formed I'll make trade agreements so I don't have to put up with so much merchant opposition.
I'm focusing on making a colonial empire. I seriously cant contend with France's manpower, its crazy. And I inherited one dead cow of a country, everyone wants to rebel. I feel like slapping them.
And Scotland declared war on me (we had good relations too...) and so now I have France and Norway on me.
/sigh
Going to restart again. God this is driving me nuts. Its the fact that everytime I think about raising some more troops I have that rebel list staring me in the face saying "If you try raising anymore troops to defend us, we're going to rebel! Haha!" /slap /slap /slap
Damn. Why did the Hundred Years' War have to be in the fourth phase? I'd of liked to skip the whole thing together, and so then I might not have a dead country!

Trade agreements hurt trade efficiency, so I don't recommend them.
Going primarily colonial with England is normally solid, as long as you stay out of Europe (diverts too much resources) and have a huge navy.
Use your navy to keep France off your mainland, and use your superior size to crush the Scots quickly. Take as much as you can while getting a quick peace with them. They only become a threat with help from their allies.
If you want, when you restart, choose a date just one year later, when the war with France is over.

How'd you see your war exhaustion? I'd tried hovering over the national manpower pool but it doesn't show up?![]()
Are you at war?
Check also the revolt risk in any of your provinces.
