Default Trouble increasing strat movement rates...

I'm a big fan of IBFD and trying to tweak it a bit for my tastes. I want to increase the campaign map movement rates but when I change the starting_action_points in the descr_character.txt file (the one in the bi/data folder) it doesn't seem to impact movement rates in the game, anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Maybe it is about the script:hmmm: Did you check the IBFD file in scripts?

No, I would have no idea where to look in that file. What would I look for?

u should tweak the starting_action_points in the descr_character.txt file in the ibfd folder, not the bi folder, since ibfd is using -mod switch all the relevant files are in the ibfd folder

Aha, that would explain it, thanks! I noticed that you actually decreased the movement points from the vanilla 80 down to 60, which results in extremely unrealistic movement rates, I'm curious why did you decide to do this?

to stop the armies avoiding (going around) each other, if u notice in vanlla or when u increase the movement rates, it is very difficult to engage/trap/ambush or generally do anything strategic in the stratmap, the too high movement rates ensures the armies just runs away/suddenly appears around you/ etc...
I would have preferred it lower with a 6-12 turn per year cycle.
