    Default Mod or Vanilla?

Do you play modded or vanilla Rome? If you do play a mod, I'm very curious as to who plays what. Personally, I play Extended Greek Mod (XGM), and vanilla for MP.

Well I play XGM, MM, EB and 1.5.

I like Mundus Magnus and XGM most, maybe even MM more beacuse Rome is not unifed like in XGM.

I voted for vanilla. I think I may have to vote for mods next time though because of the huge map I have just seen.

i voted mod. i play RTR. its fun and all but im thinking of going back to Vanilla. conquering greece, carthage, and gaul with one faction is hard!
    To fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence;
supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting.

I voted Vanilla because most of the MP community plays vanilla. I'd rather have a better opponent than a more historically-accurate mod.

    Both.
"Romans not only easily conquered those who fought by cutting, but mocked them too. For the cut, even delivered with force, frequently does not kill, when the vital parts are protected by equipment and bone. On the contrary, a point brought to bear is fatal at two inches; for it is necessary that whatever vital parts it penetrates, it is immersed. Next, when a cut is delivered, the right arm and flank are exposed. However, the point is delivered with the cover of the body and wounds the enemy before he sees it."

    Vanilla.

I once modded the game to make the Celts playable in BI. I also modded my current game with RomeSage in order to alter the date to avoid a recurring CTD.

Singleplayer: Mods (chivalry, eb and xgm these days)
    Multiplayler: Mods

If it wasn't for mods i would have stopped playing this game long ago.

Only mods. I want to conquer regions like Persia and India. But the vanilla isn't bad and the most units are in my modded version exactly the same (I only changed the units of nations I like to play).

For the most part it is mods for me. But I still like vanilla sometimes too. It all depends on what faction I am playing. For example, the Greek Cities are much better to play in XGM.

I can't seem to vote but if I could I would vote for vanilla (maybe someone can vote on my behalf?). This is because I have gotten into MP and most mods overwrite the vanilla version so that you can't play both. I find that playing a vanilla campaign on very hard/very hard provides a good enough challenge for me.
The mods that I have played were all good and I'll likely try some out in the future, but for now MP provides the most interesting challenge. No matter the mod you can't get the same level of competition from a computer.

I play Vanilla first and after I've played and won with most of the factions, I try out a mod for a new challenge. Currently on Darthmod.
