Issue with Company of heroes

1 gig of ram
7600gt
(Soz boz my motherboard CANT overclock)

I play COH on good settings, however when I head online and start a game it lags like hell and I end up actually starting 10 mins into the game almost, and we're beaten. After this the game runs flawlessly, but not before cries of 'GET A BETTER COMP N00B UR RUINING THE GAME'

I know this aint a bad computer, do you guys have any idea of what the problem may be?

Turn all your graphics settings down, and see if it improves. If it doesn't, it may be a problem with your internet connection. What's your internet speed?

Just 1 meg, but I wouldnt think that would cause that much trouble. Ill give the graphics thing a try, I don't really want to play a fugly game though.

What type of Ping are the games you trying enter giving?

Pings about 180

You don't have a firewall active do you? Like Zonealarm for example?

Even some antivirus could be the culprit.

Im on Vista , so I use the inbuilt one, and AVG. Ill try the graphics and report back.
