    Default New video card?

I tried to play M2 today and wanted to start a campaign, but on the loading screen the bar finished but then it got all glitchy and went to this screen.

I have a GeForce FX 5900XT, it's pretty old but it got the job done before, and all my setting were on low. I'm pretty sure it's updated also.

Every once in a while a game will glitch up. Did you try loading it again?

Yeah, it started yesterday, and I've tried probably 5 or 6 times. It happens with Rome too.

Weird. In that case, I'd try (re)installing the newest video driver and see if that helps. If not, then it looks like it's time for you to go shopping...

No good. I'm gonna have to buy a new card. Anybody got any recommendations?

The GeForce 6600 is the new minimum for just about any game. If you're running on a budget, that's what I'd aim for. If you've got more disposable income, the higher the GeForce number the better. I haven't had good experiences with ATI cards.

It's a driver problem, use drive cleaner pro to unintsall them properly instead of a soft uninstall via the CC. Then re-install the latest drivers that were working for you... problem solved.

Oh and if you do get a new video card, send the old one my way

If you have PCI express and want a really durable card with a huge fan that keeps it cooler than Gforce cards this is the one I recommend especially if you do more than gaming on your PC. I have problems with Gforce I experience issues with rendering in certain 3D software applications. ATI never let me down working in high end software.

ATI 100-437808 Radeon X1650PRO 512MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x16 Video Card you can find this for around 150.00 US. If you have not got a PCI Express slot check some of the other line of ATI cards you can usually score APG now a days for 50.00 or 60.00 bucks with 512 memory.

    Good Luck
