    Default A Thought in the Night

    Just a random idea with broken wings.

    Create various empty campaign maps with plenty of open space while still retaining a natural look. Create a unit such as a builder or something, capable of using an ability (I don't know how it would work) to make a structure. Either a town or a castle. As is already in the game. I think this mod would reach to alot of people who like control and customization. This way the player could start their own province and develop their kingdom to see fit. It's not quite linear regarding the games direction, but it's still an interesting idea for those who enjoy that kind of game play.

    The pessimistic side of me thinks it's probably impossible... However, the fact that the game already has a system where if you upgrade a structure, it actually changes on the campaign map, makes it almost plausible when using logic. Example being the wooden castle is able to change it's model on the map after upgrading. I wonder if it is possible to work a unit in the same way? Anyways, I am not a modifyer, nor will I ever be, because i'm pathetic. So, this was probably all in vain.

    It's impossible. But I'm sure there are ways to simulate it. Maybe not as complex and advanced as in your idea, but still, given a lot of work, a building system like in your idea of "control and customization" would be possible, just not in a graphical way and on the battlefield.
