Yeah, the Irish would be bearable with Scot's accent. The Flemish just about with a german one. Infact, any of the factions having to use the default english accent could sound waaaay better with any other neighbouring one.
Are any of the DLV mini-modders considering this as a patcher? I would by I'm totally graphical based in my modding and haven't time, inclination or ability to code script.

I can get the accents correct but in doing so I have lost the sound effects (the noises heard when you click on buttons etc.). I had exactly the same problem when I generated the faction accents for my own mod and it took me days to sort it out. At the moment I'm too busy to go through it all again, it's a very frustrating business

I replaced mod's export_descr_sounds_units_voice with original one (sound files pack) , deleted events dat and idx files and that seem to be a temporary fix for faction's accents issue

@Hans Kloss
You are a genius! That works a treat, all factions now sound as they should. +rep for you.

I have tried this with the export_descr_sounds_units_voice replacement as suggested but I have the same problem as last time, when I just deleted the idx and dat file. The newly created events idx and dat files only have like 6kb size, aka are not generated properly, and therefore I have no unit sounds at all, no music either. Have you used the unpacker on your default MTW2 and copied the sound directory into the modfolder Abrocomos? Are you using the English or the German version of the game ? I don't understand why this isn't working, both the export_descr_sounds_units_voice.txt and the descr_sounds_accents.txt look ok to me but I do not know all of the files used in the creation of the idx and dat file.
I missed this, thank God that its been fixed. I gave up on trying to fix the Irish accents it was so frustrating so this is great! Sorry to say if it has already been done but can the link for Abrocomos' files be added to the minimod thread?
