CTD when scrolling over certain areas on the map

Hi, before I start, I'd like to say that I really like this mod, especially the increased wealth of the ERE and less historical inaccuracies.


However, whenever I scroll over Hispania, present-day Netherlands, and the Visigoths near Rome I get a CTD. I've installed no scripts, and turned the advisor off, but this still happens.

I hope someone can help me, I'd really like to play the mod to it's full extent.

Maxinius Scipio try deleting your map.rwm and then start up the game
ibfd/data/world/maps/base/map.rwm
But first click on it and copy (save the map.rwm to a folder or desktop)in case this doesn't work. If it doesn't work just put the saved map.rwm back where it was deleted from. Its at least worth a try.

The problem might also be attributed to the strat map models, there is actually an option to revert back to CA strat models but is in itself bugged, I am trying to fix that option (revert to CA) and will upload the fix ASAP if not with next version (7.04 - hopefully within this month)

When I went to delete the map.rwm, I couldn't find it in the base folder.


And Ramon, does reverting back to the CA models mean the units on the battle map will look like the ones from BI?

(Sorry if I seem stupid, I'm new to mods and such. )

No prob... we have all been there

The map.rwm should appear in the folder as such:


The map.rwm has to be there for the game to load up(start up after choosing a faction) By deleting it and restarting the game it automatically creates a new one...If the game is faulty for whatever reason, the game will not even start up. It will kick back to the start menu most likely...a long shot at best but possibly the map didn't generate properly with your current map.rwm. Its probably as Ramon said, the strat map models but give this a try first and see what happens ..remember to save anything deleted to restore it to its(the mod) orig form

Nope, that didn't work.

Man, I hope this is going to be fixed in v7.04. I REALLY want to play the mod.
