In the classical world there are dozens of virgin born, crucified saviors, from all over the world. Who all share the above, general mythological structure. Such examples are, Horus of Egypt, Attis of Phrygia, Krishna of India, Dionysus of Greece, and Mithra of Persia. Also, of course Jesus.
Why the same structure for all these saviors?
First of all the birth sequence is completely astrological. The star in the east is Sirius, the brightest start in the sky, which on Dec.25 aligns with the three brightest starts in Orion's Belt. The Three Kings. On Dec.25, Sirius and the Three Kings all align and point to the place of the sunrise on Dec.25. Thus the Three Kings follow the eastern star to the birth of the sunrise.
The virgin Mary is the constellation Virgo the virgin. Virgo was also referred to as "House of Bread". The representation of Virgo is a virgin holding a chaff of wheat. This house of bread and it's symbol of wheat represents August and September, the time of harvest.
From the summer solstice to the winter solstice, the days become shorter, and colder, and from the perspective of the northern hemisphere, the sun appears to move south and become more scarce. The shortening of the days and the expiration of the crops symbolised death to the ancients. It was the death of the sun. And by Dec.22, the suns demise was fully recognized. For the sun reaches it's lowest point in the sky. Here the sun stops moving south (to the viewer) for three days, and during this three day pause, the sun resides in the vicinity of the Southern Crux constellation. After this time on Dec.25 the sun moves one degree north.
This is why many sun gods, hold this crucifiction, three day death and resurrection cycle. It is the suns transition from the winter solstice to the summer solstice. It is not celebrated till the spring equinox, when the LIGHT finally overpowers the darkness of the world.
One of the most easily recognized, astrological symbolisms is the 12 disciples. Which simply are the 12 constellations of the zodiac, that the sun travels about with.
In early occult art, Jesus, is always shown with his head on a cross. This is the cross of the zodiac. We all know what the short hand version of the cross of the zodiac looks like. (Jesus is on it)
Now, of the many astrological, astronomical metaphors in the bible, one of the most important has to do with the ages. There are many referrances to the age throughout the scriptures. In order to understand this we must be familiar with the procession of the equinoxes.
The ancient Egyptians and many cultures long before them. recognized that approximately every twenty one hundred and fifty years the sunrise on the morning of the spring equinox, occurs at a different sign of the zodiac. This has to do with the slow anglular wobble that the earth maintains as it rotates on it's axis. The amount of time it takes the procession to go through all twelve signs is roughly twenty five thousand, seven hundred and sixty five years. Known as the great year, and ancient society's were very aware of this. They referred to every twenty one hundred, fifty year period, as an age.
From forty three hundred BC to twenty one fifty BC was the age of Taurus the bull, From twenty one fifty BC to one AD was the age of Aires the ram, and from one AD to twenty one fifty AD is of Pisces the age we are in today. And somewhere around twenty one fifty we will enter the new age of Aquarius.
The bible reflects, broadly speaking, the symbolic movement through three ages, while foreshadowing a forth. In the Old Testament when Moses comes down from the mountain bearing the ten commandments, he is angered to see his people worshiping a golden bull calf. After shattering the tablets he commands his people to kill each other to purify themselves.
Moses represents the new age of Aires the ram which comes after the age of Taurus the bull. To this day Jews still blow the rams horn. Upon the new age, everyone is to shed the old age. Other diety's represent this transition such as Mithra, a pre christan god that kills the bull.
Jesus represents the age of Pisces, or the two fish. Fish symbolism is abundant in the new testament as Jesus is know as the great fisherman. He feeds five thousand people with five loathes of bread and two fish. When he begins his ministry he befriends two fisherman who follow him. Ever look at the popes hat?
In Luke 22:10 When Jesus is asked by his disciples when the next passover will be, after he is gone. Jesus says, "Behold, When Ye Are Entered Into The City, There Shall A Man Meet You Bearing A Pitcher Of Water, Follow Him Into The House He Entereh In.
This scripture is by far the most revealing astrological reference. The man bearing a pitcher of water is Aquarius the water bearer. He is always pictured as pouring a pitcher of water. All Jesus is saying is that after the age of Pisces will come the age of Aquarius.
Now comes the end times. Apart from the almost cartoonish depiction in revelations, this idea comes from Mathew 28:20 Where Jesus says, "I Will Be With You Even To The End Of The World". However in the King James version, "world" is a mistranslation among many. The actual word being used is "AEON" which means age. The whole idea of an end times is a misinterpreted, astrological allegory.
Let's tell that to the nearly one hundred million people in America who believe the end time is coming.
Furthermore, the character of Jesus is mostly a plagerization of Horus, the Egyptian sun god. For example, inscribed about thirty five hundred years ago, on the walls of the temple of Luxor is the miracle birth and adoration of Horus
Fifteen Centuries before Christianity is the idea of an Jesus like birth.
The images begin with the virgin Isis being told she is to conceive Horus, then Neph (sp?) the holy ghost impregnating the virgin. Then the virgin birth (top right) and adoration.
In fact the literary similarities between Horus and Jesus are staggering.
Horus-Jesus
The mysteries -The miracles
The Sem-The parables
The ritual as the book of resurrection-The book of revelations
The saying of Lu or Lu em hetep-The sayings of Jesus
Too many for my worn out hands maybe i will get the whole list later after some discussion.
As Far as the ten Commandments, They are taken outright from spell one twenty five of the book of the dead.
What the book of the dead phrased, "I have not stolen" Became Thou shall not steal
I have not killed became Thou shall not kill.
I have not told lies became Thou shall not bear false witness, And so forth.
In fact the Egyptian religion is likely ninety five percent, of the foundation of the Judaeo Christian theology

When we say that he, Jesus Christ, our teacher was produced without sexual union, was crucified and died, and rose again, and ascended into heaven we propound nothing different from what you believe regarding the suns of Jupiter.

He was born of a virgin accept this in common with what you believe of Perseus
Jesus was the solar deity of the gnostic Christian sect. Like all other pagan gods he was a mythical figure. It was the political establishment that sought to historise the Jesus figure for social control.
If this is a better fit inside the Jesus Myth thread, instead of a whole new one go ahead mod men!
