how about a japanese clan shows up rather than the timurids.
I know its not very historical but it WOULD be fun to see Japanese Samurai against European knights duking it out and seeing who would win. Personally I can't mod, so I was wondering if someone wanted to take it up?
just a thought.

My previous mod idea extends the map to the Far East and add several new factions including the Shogunate of Japan.

I can't work on this mod due to two things.

1. I'm still learning how to mod stuff.
&
2. I'm having technical difficulties with setting up modification tools.

how about helping in gathering some support for this. It's just adding a new faction making skins, some models, descriptions and other stuff. I think i speak for some people by saying wouldn't it be cool to see Samurais vs. knights?

It's going to be a lot of work and gathering support is difficult. The idea was to make a Total War version of AoE 2 (which would kick so much ass imo) , but anyway, if you are willing to help me out, you are more than welcome

EDIT: I have like 2 other ideas (if anyone is willing to hear).

AoE 2 as in Age of Empires 2. WOW your going for a LOT of work there but sure id like to help out. what are your other two ideas?

But anyway my other two ideas are a RTW mod for M2TW (gotta love Rome!) and a fantasy mod.

hmmm, it sounds good, but it sounds "too oriental", especially since this is going to be a world-wide total war.

I was thinking something along the lines of Gaia (greek for Earth) Total War. idk, it's very complicated. cause we need a good title to describe an entire world at war.

but we have to make it oriental. and i think i know how to get the map that you want for the WW. but for the Kamakura were using the vanilla map. HAHAHA i just thought of Aztecs fighting Samurais HAHAH!!
