Bugs of....?what
Hmm.. when I run LTC, it gets to the splash screen and then after a little bit the game shuts off.
This is the error in system.log
16:34:53.953 [script.err] [error] Trigger parsing error in landstoconquer/data/export_descr_character_traits.txt, at line 17774, column 48 :
ancillary description (intrepid_explorer) not recognised
Noticed there is no export_vnvs.txt in the data/text folder?
40 mins.. hmm
back to slaying macedonians!
Glad to have reported it so soon though. Carry on.
Bollocks, give me 40 mins.

Just forgot to include the latest version of some ancilliary tweaks in the version i was building, in the previous one i'd found the error(put the triggers in the wrong file) but didn't copy the fix over to the folder i build the installer from.

Same thing has happened to me on two occasions. Its awful when you find these terrible mistakes right after uploading.
When you upload it again it won't change the EDB right? I assume I can continue working on it?
Take a time , the Megaup and the file front are to slow to, so tomorrow is a good day...for me im gona sleep.![]()
No it won't affect that so you can mod away on that to your hearts content.

dunnoif anyones has this im just over 200 turns into a hotseat campaign and in the last few turns the game has crashed "due the an unexpected error" it reloads ok although on 1 turn it took 3 reloads before it would continue which was a bit nerve racking. the only other mod i have installed in ltc is klinks garrison script but theres been no probs up untill now.
what u reckon would cause this?
Is that with 3.0?

Is klink's garrison script made for LTC 3.0? If its an older version its probably not compatible.
yeah im using ltc 3.0 and klinks script on the first page of klinks thread which is listed as version 2.1. this mod doesnt add any towns or units so the script should be ok right?
the timurids have recently arrived so that has something to do with it i dunno im just guessin. as i said its still running ok but these errors are a bit worrying
I cannot start a new campaign.
Whenever I load the game up, select singleplayer --> Grand Campaign, select a faction, and then when I click "Start", it just goes back to the Singleplayer menu..
Edit: It's worth noting that I can uninstall 3.0, install 2.1, start a new campaign, uninstall 2.1, install 3.0 and then load the saved game, and it will work?

In The Hotseat Mode when I launch it, it comes up just like the original M2TW and even has my saves do I need to change something!!!
But Otherwise played for an hour on Singleplayer great!!!![]()
I note that AI needs a Land bridge between France and england , if we play with France we don't have much challenge, and the england don't rule the north of France?
I have the same problem, and have tried to debug this quite a bit with no success. Details:
I had M2TW with 1.2 patch & LTC 2.3 installed, uninstalled LTC 2.3 then installed LTC 3.0. No hotseat, so reinstalled. Still no hotseat. Completely uninstalled M2TW. Reinstalled M2TW, 1.2 patch, then LTC 3.0. Still same result. Further:
When I ran LTC 3.0 in "normal", non-hotseat mode, it generated a system.log.txt file which contains a number of warnings and script.err messages. However, I was successfully able to start a 100-years war campaign with no obvious errors in-game.
When I ran LTC 3.0 in hotseat, it came up as vanilla M2TW and generates a system.log.txt file with errors.
Looking in my installation directory, I noticed that there was no landstoconquerhotseat.cfg, so I ran the hotseatcfgfixer.bat to generate this file, then tried launching hotseat again. This time, It launches LTC, but I see no hotseat mode anywhere. This also generates a system.log.txt file with errors.
Is anyone else having this problem? FYI, Lusted, I have saved the 3 system.log files from the above tests if you care to see them.
Yes it should be fine.yeah im using ltc 3.0 and klinks script on the first page of klinks thread which is listed as version 2.1. this mod doesnt add any towns or units so the script should be ok right?
Are you sure you have installed LTC correclty over a clean install of M2TW patched to 1.2?Edit: It's worth noting that I can uninstall 3.0, install 2.1, start a new campaign, uninstall 2.1, install 3.0 and then load the saved game, and it will work?
Sounds like the mod hasn't installed properly, try reinstalling. In The Hotseat Mode when I launch it, it comes up just like the original M2TW and even has my saves do I need to change something!!!
No at the beginning of the HYW campaign England only really held the area around Bordeaux. The English do tend to invade France from my tests, but i have considered the possibility of adding in a landbridge. This kind of stuff should go in the main LTC 3.0 thread as i am looking for feedback on the custom campaigns as i just haven't had the time to balance test them properly.I note that AI needs a Land bridge between France and england , if we play with France we don't have much challenge, and the england don't rule the north of France?
