Reinstall, cant install 1.2

I uninstalled and then reinstalled m2tw, but whenever i try to patch to 1.2 (without 1.1) at the very end of the patching i get an error about a missing or corrupt voice1 file. I checked and the file is there. So i reinstalled, but i still receive that error? Anyone heard of this, or know of a solution?

I didn't hear of it, cause I dont hear alot of things

but, hmm, if i were in your position, I would delete the 1.2 patch, and download it again

bump, currently at work, i've tried dl'ing the 1.2 again, still no luck. Its not an issue with my disc either as they are fine with no scratches and have always reinstalled fine before. The game runs fine, it just wont patch to 1.2 all the way. Currently not finding anything useful on this issue though. Any help is much appreciated.

Okay - are you using an english version of the game? That's the only thing I can think of that might be causing problems (barring a broken disc)...

much bumpage is needed as i still have this issue, tried contacting CA/Sega but no response, i tried unzipping the patch file and then running the setup, but i only CTD with this in my system log

I've resolved the issue after much tinkering and shaking of fists, though after figuring it out, all i can say is gg to sega/ca on a poor patching process.

Can I ask how is the patch 1.2 recognize the game.

It always pop up saying it does not recognize my version even though I reinstall the game many times. Can I force install it?

Are you using a digital version (ie downloaded from the SEGA website etc)?

if you do have the download version then you need to get the patch from that company.

Its a DVD version. Do it scan my registry or something?

Yes.

Open up the registery (start > run > regedit) and tell us the content of the keys in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\

Well I'm 60km from my home now becuase of visitng my grandparent.

I remember that the information in the reg is very limited when I check it last week.

There even no version number.

What is your reg?. I'm very frustrated right now as I can't play SS.
