    Icon9 Retraining units bug

    Hello All

Newby here. Love MTW2 but have found an irritating bug that nobody else seems to be whinning about.

I have a sound uptodate pc 3800+ dualcore and it allruns smooth. I have the latest 600meg patch installed and started afresh.

When retraing Cavalry it takes forever (many turns). This is as the English. I had the same problem with Infantry as the Byzantines. I have noticed that if I skip a turn and just do the retraining then it works but if I go back do everything including the retraining then they require retraing again the following turn. This goes on indefinatly and costs a fortune. I think it may have something to do with reloading midturn which I often do(ur-hum).

    Can anyone help. Please....

    Yeah, it's a bug

Unfortunately, no news on a fix yet.

Basically, any unit put in a retraining queue to gain experience bonuses will lose that ability when the game is reloaded.

Thus, if you reload next turn, you need to go to each of your settlements, and remove and readd the men from/into the queue, thus avoiding the problem

    Hi Sapi

    Thanks for the prompt response.

I'll keep my eyes open for a fix when it arrives. Odd few others have noticed so I thought it may have been just me.

    Cheers

I have noticed it as well but just decided to work with it. I simply don't bother retraining the units over and over.
