Reccomendations For My Situation

Heya.

My current PC has a 2.66Ghz Pentium 4, 1GB DDR PC3200 RAM and a 128mb AGP Geforce 6800.

So overall it is a generation or two old.
Im 16 and hope to get a job soon, eventually I want to build a £1000 system with the latest technology for games such as Crysis but it is unlikely that I will find work anytime soon and so im stuck with this current system.

I have no money, but my birthday is coming up. Would it be worth getting a Geforce 7 series AGP card (or ATI if you reccomend it) to help me push along with games of today (im playing Oblivion at a quite sad 15-20FPS and I want to play MFSX which is quite demanding).

Would I be better off leaving it, spending the money I get on B'day on something else and waiting for my first pay check to buy the wanted system?

I think its better to go for the greater stuffs from start, because I believe the 7 series don't last long for you anyway. Or is worth buying.

And what card you should get, I let the basement guys answer that..

If you are forced to a 7, get a 7600 and there is an 8600 out there. No 7300's, I heard they are even worser than it's previous cards.
