I copied all the stainless steel sound dat and idx files, then deleted them, and just restarted the game, and it rebuilds new correct audio files
EDIT :
~~Delete C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\Stainless_Steel_Mod\data\sounds\events.dat
~~Delete C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\Stainless_Steel_Mod\data\sounds\events.idx

You also need all the sounds text files which my hotfix installs, otherwise the files won't be rebuilt correctly. Also my understanding is that it is the events.dat and events.idx files that need to be deleted.
thanks for clarifing nerazzurri, it was late when I posted LOL , have plus rep you sir
cheers

I installed this and unzipped to the M2TW folder and then aragon still speak english and denmark have word from england ? So what is wrong ?
Ps. Should it ask something like "overwrite this file with this file..." etc ?

Then i installed it to the wrong folder but i dont understand ? Is it that folder where is SS launcher ?
Have you run the SS4.exe program?
Ermmm ? That where reads Nerazurri.net ?
Yeah. Run that and it will ask 'Do you want to create a short cut to Stainless Steel on your desktop?' Click "Yes" And it will make a shortcut with the cool icon on your desktop for you.
When you unzip the file it puts a file called SS4.exe into the M2TW folder (its icon is the symbol of the Knights Templar). Run that and it'll ask if you want to create a shortcut and will then complete the sound fix.

D'oh!
im stupid
But anyway thx!
nerazzurri, is your quickfix compatible with the official SS hotfix #3?
Ditto TheFirstONeill for the sound fix?
(Though I say, I find the "By St George..."bit somewhat appropriate for the Rus. Though it doesn't outweigh the consternation every time my merchant announces he will "send the goods to England")
Yes my stuff doesn't change any of the existing SS files and it already includes the sound fix.
Updated for 4.1.
