Default So I just found this mod...

And I had to pop in here and say thank you for making it!

Of course, it's completely ruined my weekend, since it's all I've done since I found it (thankfully after the fishing trip ), but I'm not complaining.

I've been playing RTR since 3.something or other, and, aside from The First Triumverate and a brief stint with EB, hadn't really gotten into any other mods. This one, however, has my complete and total attention.

I have to say, the battles really are fun in this one! My computer isn't able to handle huge settings, but large is fine for me, and there is still an awful lot going on.

I've been having a great time organizing attacks between two generals against the countless hordes of Germans and Gauls invading Cisalpine Gaul every turn. In RTR, I never really felt the need to do that, but in this one, I need reinforcements! (Maybe I'm just not that good haha).

Still, I have to say it is a real pleasure manuevering with another Legion, trying to support one another (and keep their general alive) and tackle much larger enemy forces.

I've been taking my expansion very slow, and in ~190BC only have Italy, Sicily Sardinia, and the area near modern day Trieste. I've dispatched two legions to invade Greece, and am fearing they will not be enough.

I just wanted to pop in, say hello, and offer my congrats and thanks for making this great mod!

The only question I have is: I've noticed that after 10 victories, a general may or may not lose some loyalty... Are there future traits such as 20, 30, 40 victories? Do you really have to keep an eye on your generals to make sure you don't create a monster?

    Thanks,

    Vudak

Glad to have another player in the community!
You will be careful of your generals, they are like in real Rome, when they are too good and too successful they think they can make better emperors than yourself lol.
Another thing, I would advise you to use huge settings, because the game is balanced for that. Huge settings use more population too, so if you are playing with large you could have issues, like the game being too easy etc...
    Welcome and enjoy SPQR!

indeed, huge should be fun ... I say "should" , because from my opinion it is really dependant on the configuration you've got ... Cause on mine, for instance, it becomes sooooooooo laggy that it looks like a great slide show

They will keep losing loyalty past the 10 victories part.

I had a general, I think it was Augustus Vettus, who ended up winning about 15-20 victories, he was a great triumph, local hero, popular hero, etc. By then he had 2 loyalty. But with his 10 command stars, I left him in command of a legion, just taking the risk for a while. Then his loyalty went down to 1 and I sent him home and replaced him.
