Default Now I'm in real trouble.

Well, from my post "have a little problem, possibly from patch" from lack of responses, I tried to take things in my own hands once again, and tried to really clean my disk and reinstall, when I went to add/remove programs where it failed to uninstall cause the uninstall kept crashing, I simply deleted the whole sega folder... so now when I try to uninstall, it thinks that it's still there, even though it isn't... so now... am I screwed and will never be able to play Medieval 2 unless I get a new computer?

    start > run > regedit

Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SEGA\Medeival II Total War\ and delete that entire folder.

Well, I did so, and no difference happened. When I went to control panel and tried to stop it, same thing, it said "setup has stopped working" and when I went to the launcher, I got the same thing saying that 1.02 was installed...

Okay - so those keys are gone.

Try launching from setup.exe on the DVD rather than the launcher.

Try searching the registery (start > run > regedit > edit > find) for 'medieval'

I just played around with that and found some traces of the installation in a temp key - try deleting all of that if you find it.

Hmm.. is there a way to restore your computer, including files, drivers, and everything, to original condition but still with the same operating system?

Unfortunately not unless you prepared for it before you started installing stuff

Give ccleaner a try http://www.ccleaner.com/. You may find that it fixes your problem, but even if it doesn't, the program is free (with optional donation), and your machine will probably end up running better.

Well, I did System Restore (makes your computer how it was when you first got it), backed up my files, got everythign set up again, and now my medieval 2 total war works.
