Default [Citizen - Passed 3:2] Kleos (Patron Lord Rahl)

    From Patronee,

I joined TW Center months ago, under the mistaken impression that it would be necessary to download modifications for Rome: TW. Realising my mistake, I more or less forgot about my membership until my desire for more modifications brought me back; it was during this ‘second visit’ over a month ago that the Common Community first caught my eye, with a thread in the Vestigia Vetustatis teasing a reply from me. To borrow a statement I have heard other use “I came for the game, stayed for the community”.

From there I didn’t look back - the vibrant discussions and members maintaining my presence and my posting at the site, especially in the Vestigia Vetustatis; where my posts have been apparently well received. TWC is also my first forum, and with great members, a thriving community and expanding horizons; it seems set to be my only and last forum as well. In my early days (which I guess I’m still in) several members stuck out, their friendliness and intelligence giving me something to aspire to – as well as furthering my desire to stay at the site. In a way citizenship would be part of raising myself to their level, but hopefully it will lead to something more; a stepping stone for further involvement in the community.

    From Patron,

Fellow members of the CdeC, I bring forth the member Kleos as a candidate for citizenship. I find him to be a very promising candidate as he seems to be a mature and well informed individual which is represented in his posting. Although he just passed the post count qualification, if one would look through his posts they would find that the majority are quite excellent. I was a bit hesitant to bring Kleos before the CdeC because of his lack of posts but I feel as if the posts he does have reflect a member who will only bring more excellence in future posting as he has done already. Now, onto the vote!

    Get him in!

He's British and has no records against him.

He had 50 posts at the time of this sponsoring, virtually all in the last 30 days. He's far too new for me to judge him worthy of citizenship.

He seems... fine... we have basically no record on him at all. 50 posts? Tell him to keep posting and come back in a couple months, for now, a strong no.

I am tipping for a yes. His lightheartedness might be misinterpreted for spamming, but as seen in several examples he is capable of very very very good posts. (Sometimes in a context where there is only spam around him)

I think this member is more than worthy, and secondly Rahl is a good judge of character.

On a note, I hope that the no's against him will be reconsidered. 50 posts is slightly insufficient, I wish we would have not taken off the limit.

Rahl shouldn't be at all a factor. Why does the patron have any effect on the canidate? Whether the patron is Imb or is Gaius Baltar, the canidate is no more or less worthy.

50 posts is half an hour of posting if anyone cared to. 50 posts in entirely infsufficient to judge a members worth, barring something else being at play (such as skilled modder who has been modding for a year but doesn't post much). With 50 posts, who knows anything about this guy? And they aren't 50 god-like posts or anything, some even tend to appear spammish. If he re-produces the quality of the 50 over a couple hundred more posts, I'm not sure even then, but certainly not now, with his present application.
