This is crazy, I need help

I recently installed the new 1.2 patch after re installing my game. I go to play, but a "fatal error" pops up and then the game wont start. What should I do?

hmmm...thats odd....first things first,did you unpack the game???are you trying to play vanilla or are you playing a mod???

Nope, nothing at all. I uninstalled the game because I had the 1.1 patch, then Installed it again. Afrer installation, I installed the 1.2 patch. The only mod I later installed was "Horse dust". I tried running the game, but the error came up

Try a fresh reinstall - it seems to do the trick (usually)

Nope, same good ol' error. This time it poped up even without the new patch installed. Anyway, I contacted sega support.

I'm having the same problem, kinda.
When I got the fatal error message a few times I just tried un-installing the game... but no dice... it just wouldn't, can't remember the error though. So i manually deleted everything ( including the registry entries ) but it still said the game was there so i restarted my computer and now when the launcher comes up i can click install but when i do the setup has an error:

The game is there in add/remove but it wont un-install, and i cant install because it's there when it shouldnt.

any ideas would be appreciated

Edit - nevermind, fixed the problem... got a link for CCleaner in another thread and it did the job.

Im glad you solved yours. I solved mines as well. My problem is kind of different than yours. Anyway, I uninstalled it and re installed the game ina different driver, then it worked!
