    Default B-Day

    I was wondering who was the oldest general you've ever had in RTW campaign. My oldest general was around 78 and still counting. Is there a difference if u keep ur general in a certain settlement? Like if one settlement has poor farmland or a settlement with outstanding farmland, does it make ur general live longer? Another question is there a way to keep them alive longer or is is just random? Its weird because my first campaign on House of Julii my first Facton Leader died around his late 60, but i made i new game with the Julii and the same Faction leader is now 78 and still getting olderm i keep him in battle and move him around alot, so it isn't like i just leave him sitting around, does that make he live longer?

    Anyway, so for all the noob questions, but im just wondering if anybody has really old generals and have methods on how to keep tem alive longer longer.

    Thanks

    i had one who died at 84 in my julii campaign but that was like at 191 BC so i have no clue what his name is. but he entered Rome when he was 73. and he never left the city. i left him there cuz he was my faction leader. it was awsome!
    To fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence;
    supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting.

    oh, and another question, is there a way to get your general to have children alot more, sometimes i have great old generals but once they get to old, they dont have anymore childern, is that because of the settlements also?

    i am as lost as you are on that. im guessing that CA people decided to make a certain age where child birth stops by the couple. but im guessing u can change that somewhere deep into the files.

    My Scipii Faction Leader (Cornelius) lived to 108 and then died peacefully in Messana.

    BTW, keeping generals still in settlements helps them live longer.

    The oldest family member I ever had was when I was playing as the Bruti. I think his name was Marcus Brutus, he lived to be 100 years old, forgot when he actually died though, a few turns later I think. Most of my generals die around the age of 70 or so, sometimes even in the 60s.

    My oldest died at the age of 108 or 112, don't remember exactly. It was a BI game though. What's a bit funny is that he died in a battle. Can't help but wonder how long he would have lasted if he hadn't gotten himself killed.

    I read that your general will have more children while in settlements.(makes sense, can't be making babies if you are always in the battlefield.)
