As I was running around on U-tube I found that video. This freaked my out so incredibly much. It's simply impossible to comprehend how itzy-bitzy-tini-wini we actually are. I mean, Holy **** and all that is sacred, we mean nothing in the universal equation.

It's simply mind-blowing.

We watched it in my high school physics class a few years ago.

I believe it was made in either the late seventies or early eighties, and my teacher informed us that they've discovered many more layers going into the molecules, atoms, and that sort of thing.

I'm leaning towards them being quite similar to ours.
It takes very particular conditions for live to form and evolve, and if life evolves on an earth-like planet, I'm thinking it's probably going to be vaguely earth-like life in order to fill the earth-like ecological niches.

That's pretty amazing. I knew the universe was big, but I can't even begin to wrap my understanding of how big it really is!

I agree. There are millions (possibly, billions or even trillions) of planets in the universe. At least one, two, or even five or ten have to have SOME form of life. It doesn't even have to be intelligent - it doesn't even have to be multicellular!

Christians and Jews do not need to worry about feeling insignificant because of this video. God, our Creator, knows each and every one of us by name, individually. He will always remember every man or woman's name until eternity, or when they go to Hell. Once a person goes to Hell, their name is forgotten forever, even by God, He know longer knows them once they reach Hell.

Ive already went through the "I feel small" stage years ago, not the most comfortable notion which is greatly amplified when you don't believe in a higher power. However once you get beyond that in your own time, its incredibly liberating.

For me it couldnt have occurred at a worse time though. During the military freefall school, not the best time to be contemplating life and its meaning. I almost had a friggin mental breakdown.
