Fatigue on or off?

well i normally play with all the realism effects on but the AI tends to tire out all its men in a matter of minutes allowing me to walk in and kill them all with ease. Also units seem to tire out alot faster than in Vanilla rome, so is it intended to be palyed with fatigue off, if not then why allow the AI to ruin its chances of victory even more

Most peeps try not to exploit the poor ai by letting them tier b4 u engage. But at the end of the day its all about wot u prefer, ive modded mine too, too many stacks but dont tell LT shhhhhhh.

Fatigue is a very important tactical effect and I wouldn't set it off. With fatigue you have to think about what units to send into a melee and when to send an unit to relief another, it provides more tactical depth to the game.
What you say it's true, but you can solve it by being more "generous" to the AI. The problem is obviously when defending: the AI has to march all the way to you and its troops get fatigued. So be fair, don't deploy near map's edge, but deploy closer to the AI in order that it has to march less. I do so and it works, enemy troops usually get to me fresh or just warmed, the combat is fair.

yeah i do leave it on, no point turning it off to help me as i have np with it, just the AI seems to. In one of the House rules it said something about playing the AI's world so i wondered if i should turn it off for the AI's world bit.

well i never defend, i am far too agressive lol, i stay close to red line when deploying and always attack as fast as possible(i am no redline camper). tbh there is alot of battles to get done in this game, so no time for messing with the AI. What i mean is the AI seems unable to make choices when it is attacking and runs its troops around until it feels happy with it by then its men are tired out and easier to rout and catch and kill

Fatigue also hurts when you are besieging the enemy...

yeh but at the end of the day its just ur situationm, if u want a good fun battle u have it off, if ur defending against a mch bigger army than urs u have it on, as teodosius said, its a very important tactical factor, take trebia for example, hannibal was helped by tire and fatigue of the romans
