1.2 Patch Can't Find Game?!

Hi, I just bought Medieval 2 Total War and Its been working great. I read that the patch helps out the game alot so I downloaded the patch and when I try to install this appears:

"The setup has detected that no version of Medieval 2 Total War is Installed.
The Update requires that a previous version of the application be installed."

This makes no sense because I was just playing the game two seconds ago? Any help?

Also I downloaded the game off of the Sega Online Store and Im running on Vista.

As far as I know, there is no version of the 1.2 patch available for use on electronic copies of the game.

I suggest you get in contact with SEGA support, as that's likely to be the only way anything's ever going to change in that regard.

I did not have a DVD drive at the time M2TW came out, and decided against my better judgement to buy the digital version to spare me the expense of having to buy a new DVD drive.

I feel utterly robbed. After buying every TW game since STW I now feel I will not purchase any more. Since SEGA robbed me, I will rob them next time by installing my brothers CD and simply using a no-cd patch. They owe me a game after ripping me off.

It may be worth your while contacting the source of your digital version, as all versions, judging from what I last heard from CA, have been updated; it's just that only the Steam version is automatically updated.

As such, a re-download should give you the patch, if your source has kept itsefl up to date.

I checked on the website and found a 1.2 Patch for DR Download. But when I tried to install it said something like "No Previous Version" or "Not the right version" something along those lines.

Anyway, Im redownloading the whole game from the website to see if it will be automatically updated. If not, any other suggestions? Thanks!
