    Default new installation

i am going to reinstall EB, because i think i have a bad copy of it, and a few strange bugs, but i have a few questions:
    1. can i transport my savegame from my previous install of EB to my new one?
    2. i heard about from somewhere that if you delete that "map" file in the data folder or something, it can hamper with your game if you decide later to go and change a few files by yourself. i just want to edit the reform triggers. will that effect anything?

If you save your savegame, it will work when you reinstall. I forget if uninstalling EB deletes your savegames, but uninstally RTW probably will. I would suggest copying your save files and then putting them back after reinstalling.

You need to delete the map.rwm whenever you make changes to the map files. Sometimes you need to delete the map.rwm at other times, such as installing patches or certain minimods. But if you are using a single installer, there shouldn't be any need to delete the map.rwm.
