Default Stick Arms and Legs (Romans)

no matter what i seem to do my romans always have stick arms and legs. they look pointy and stuff. the only ones that dont are generals and town watch. i have put the unit detail at highest and still have stick arms and legs. they look like a punch of mutants and stuff. if anyone has any suggestions that would be awesome. thanks

You will probably have to turn effects to high as well. And try all the shader nonsense just to be sure If that doesn't work, please reply.

just curious, but why would you post here and not the RTW section?

its the unit shaders check box i believe. don't use very high for units as its the same as high but no sprites when you zoom out (i hear so anyway...)

Ah yes, you have Pointy Legs Syndrome.... Potentially fatal, but easily curable. Try shaders and graphics turned up as has been said, but you can also fiddle with anti-aliasing (don't particulary know what that does) and other stuff (especially the check boxes at the bottom).

Shaders and high unit quality will do the trick

I had that problem when i removed anti-aliasing. It removes the hard edges (for instance, shields werent round but hexagonal), and my eastern infantry had stick legs and arms aswell.

yeah, "anti-aliasing is the technique of minimizing the distortion artifacts known as aliasing when representing a high-resolution signal at a lower resolution. Anti-aliasing is used in digital photography, computer graphics, digital audio, and many other domains". as said on wiki, but it can be quite demanding on graphics cards...
