would someone be so kind as to upload this for me? oh and btw, if I got an unmodded version of this file, would I still be able to download the PE addons and have it work?

Try this.
Put the map.rwm in both the data/world/maps/campaign/base folder and data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign folder (if you're running RTW 1.5) or data/world/maps/campaign/barbarian_invasion folder (if you're running using BI 1.6).
Put the save game files together too and firstly you must try to load the save game. If you get past the stage where it gets to the campaign map, then only quit the game and try to start a new campaign.
FYI I use the mod:switch version running from BI.exe but I guess it wouldn't be any different what version you use.

lol okay Lestat this is gonna thrill you...
I noticed after countless times reinstalling the game and the mod that all of a sudden, the loading bar loaded just a hair less than it did before. I didn't take much notice of it until I got your files and put them in the appropriate places. Now your save games you gave me and new campaigns load back to their original point when I first started to try to load the game. So...the map.rwm makes the loading bar load about 1/20 more.lol thanks though it IS 1/20 a step in the right direction.
I didn't mention anything that specific before because I thought to myself "If I try to get anymore specific in this thread then blood is just gonna start shooting out of my nose."
Here's one small perhaps meaningless thing I noticed in my RTW directories:
in "C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\data" where all the 'descr' files are, 3 of them, 'descr_vegetation,' 'descr_items,' and 'descr_geography' aren't displayed as text files with their icons....in the descriptions it says "Data Base" file. Hmmmm....
in the BI data file, only 'descr_items' is listed as a Data Base file....ever seen or heard something like this? I wonder why these files wouldn't be shown initially as editable text files?
It's obvious the problem is something to do with the campaign map, because custom battles like I said work fine. Any other ideas?
