hey all, i was jus wondering if there was a way i can change factions halfway throu a campaign game? maybe theres a cheat out there that may make this possible?

You can load up your save game in hotseat mode and switch factions.

thats great, ok one more question, how exatly do i change? after every turn i get certain options would this be the time to change? thx

ive tryed everything, loaded up a save game in hotseat mode and nothing, waited a turn and still nothing, am i doing something wrong? i had to move the SD files out of the long road folder, could this be the reason why?

Quite a few of us have tried to get the hotseat mode working to switch factions and had no luck. I've asked before why it doesn't work, but no answers.

To the best of my knowledge, you should:

Start LongRoad_Hotseat.bat
Load saved game
hit ~
type "control <faction name>"

Where the faction name is the name you want to control. The rebels are called slaves.

You have to learn how to control hotseat mode.

Open the console by typing ~

They type control <faction name>

faction name is the name in
descr_sm_factions.txt

Dunno. It should be that simple.

After you type the command, it should say something like. Changing <factionname> to Human
otherwise, either you have the wrong faction name or your not really in Hotseat mode.

ok thanks for that, ill give it a try, btw is there anything else i should know about hotseat mode to do with the tlide key? maybe a link or something.

it works btw, just thought id let ya know, i put in:

control england

(england for example)

@Ivar when you start the long road hotseat BAT what files aree copied on the dos screen? just a thought, but ya might not be copying all the neccassary files for the hot seat mode.
