WRE versus ERE
Almost a week into this mod and enjoying every moment of it playing as the Occidentalis Romans. I have managed to consolidate Italy, hold onto Carthago Nova in Hispania, retake Arelate, maintain a presence in Africa through Carthage and Hippo and have now expanded deep into central Gaul. Finances are averaging around 8-10,000 per quarter and I can field 4 regional armies.
Very addictive.
There is something odd happening, though. Every turn sees the Orientalis Romans besieging one or two of my towns during the AI phase at the end of the turn and then when the reports pop up, I am informed that we have initiated a truce (news to me). I evacuated 2 towns in Pannonia and Noricum, thinking this was a script and even engaged and defeated 2 large Orientalis armies outside another town (name escapes me) but still at the end of each turn they besiege and then come to a truce. Am I missing something here?
I should point out that I bought the RTW Anthology edition which comes with no manual and so I am finding out a lot of the gome mechanics on the fly, as it were!
Any advice would be appreciated - or should I just go ahead and advance to Constantinople? Although I am slighty averse to warring on fellow Romanoi!!

Re: WRE versus ERE
yes, is a scripted truce
is to avoid romans fight each other (in the first period)... unfortunately, romans tend to fight each other without regard of "core attitudes".

Re: WRE versus ERE
as Mylae pointed out, if u are running scripts, they will be neutral to each other every turn.
