warriors!
I really love the combat animations in medieval 2 but something bugs me, pretty much all melee units get covered in plate mail when fully upgraded. There are many soldiers but I thought that warriors were also still very present in medieval times. Highlanders seem to be the only real warrior kind of unit. Pretty much all others get covered in thick armor which makes them appear more as knights. Most units look like knights when fully upgraded.
Perhaps a mod could give us more barbaric warriors as some sort of guild, mercenaries or some other way? Or perhaps a few pagan factions could be added?

So a soldier with a lot of armour isnt a warrior? xD
I understand what you mean. I think medieval2:tw lacks of different unit models.. as for for the model of upgrading units, almost 50% of all units in europe ends upp in the same plate in the final upgrade.

Re: warriors!
yes and that plate looks rather shiny like all soldiers receive a new armor before every battle. I can understand that knights would be given shiny armor but definatly not swordsmen or such.
Plate mail was very expensive after all. especially full plate.
