shieldwall formation in rtw - how to?

i want to give some units shieldwall ability in rome but don’t know which files to edit or if it is possible? anyone know?

You have to run RTW through your Barbarian Invasion .exe

I'm not entirely sure how to do it personally, though I imagine you can just edit your shortcut target line.

Then its just a matter of giving units the shieldwall ability via your export_descr_units.txt file.

thanks publius, i don’t know how to either, i thought if i pointed my rtw icon at bi then bi would just run?

i thought i saw a mod where the ability had been transfered to rtw once?

i wonder if i can just put my rtw data folder in bi?

To run RTW with the BI exe make a copy of the BI exe and add -mod to the end of the target line (outside of the quotes, and make sure you have a space after the quotes before the -mod)

It should look something like:

"..\RomeTW-BI.exe" -mod

You may have other switches already there in which case just add it after the last switch that is already there leaving a space between each one.

Just like I previously posted whatever is there don't change it just add -mod after the close quote.
