After I select the era then then faction I click on the start campign button and it takes me back to the era selection screen and won't allow me to select again unless I go back to the main screen and start again. Any help on actually starting a campaign?

A few questions before I can help you.

Have you looked over the readme file?

Have you edited/fiddled with any CTW or RTW files?

And, where did you install your CTW folder into, the RTW directory? Or the CA folder,etc?

I installed it into C:\Program Files\Activision\rome - total war. It was a clean copy of rome:total war with patches 1.3 then 1.5.

Hint: If you have installed as you say above, then there shouldn't be any problem (and look into our stickied topics for more info and i hope you've installed the hotfix, too).

But a short answer to your question polli, yes and no. You can't sort of, declare a Crusade and target, but you can proclaim one by building something, and there are Crusader things you can build/train, so it is basiclly like declaring one, but it isn't.

Also polli, what was the answer to your problem, could you tell us so if anyone else is wondering, so they can not take up forum space, and find out here?
