    A little more detail, please mate! English version you're using? Anything else you can add would really help!

    I'll go ahead and be the first to comment upon v0.3A!

    There's a St. John's Minor Chapter House in Palermo from the get-go?!?!? What the?

    Code:
     building
     {
      type guild_st_johns_chapter_house st_johns_minor_ch
     }
    You can either delete it from the descr_strat file or take advantage of it!

    Cheers!

    Icon4 Unable to build new churches.

    export_descr_buildings.txt:

    PDER Ver 0.3A: line 44467
    small_church city requires factions { normans, denmark, hre, scotland, france, england, hungary, poland, venice, papal_states, portugal, spain, sicily, milan, } and not building_present_min_level port port
    PDER Ver 0.2 line 43714
    small_church city requires factions { normans, denmark, hre, scotland, france, england, hungary, poland, venice, papal_states, portugal, spain, sicily, milan, }
    My guess is that the line should be as in Ver 0.2

    Happy gaming

    Hello, I love the idea of the MOD the AOR is something I mentioned in a post to Repman for DLV MOD. The "bug" is this, as England I received a mission to conquer Dun Phir I think it was called, the first town in Scotland close to the border with England. I conquered it with an army from Lancaster,led by my Lancaster governer. After conquering I received a message saying that the mission was no longer necessary as it had been taken by a another faction.
    It gives my faction the conquest in the "totals" screen but does not recognize my faction for the mission. For fun I tried the process cq cheat as it tends to tell you if settlements are not linked properly and it came back as unrecognized, so perhaps Lancaster is not being recognized as English in one part of the code and recognized in another. Cheers! Andrew Marcinov

    Arfrisco, you going to have to do some editing. Look at post #5, Derfel is basically explains what is wrong. You are going to have to edit the export_descr_buildings.txt.

    Well, a strange thing : don't know if it's a bug or not.

    I play with venice, the time is 1093 (grand campaign).

    I want to retrain (for upgrade) my levy light cavalery in Venizia and retraining not works !

    Turn after turn, I'm retraining this units and nothing appears on their figurines (no swords).

    However, retraining works for infantery, Generals and family members.

    I don't understand why.

    Thanks for advance for your reply.

    First of all I would like to congratulate the maker of this mod - I have enjoyed playing it immensely and especially like the area of recruitment aspect.

    I have had a quick skim read through this bug thread to see whether anyone else has reported my issue and hopefully I haven't missed anything.

    When playing as Russia in the campaign mode I have received two messages saying that a city (can't recall which size – Kiev ) and Castle (Motte & Bailey – Helsinki – don’t recall the modded name) are now ready for upgrade. In both cases the next size building wall is not available for construction. This problem continues even after change of turn.

    My apologies for some slightly vague details, however I am currently very busy and running a bit behind.

    In order to upgrade to stone walls, you need to wait for the STONE WALLS event which should occur 35 - 65 years into the campaign. If you're still not able to upgrade after 1145, let me know!

    Thanks for playing my mod, mate!

    OK, thanks very much for the info. I thought it was a bug.

    I really enjoy this mod and was worried it might be a game breaking bug (for me anyway). Phew!

    This mod really stretches the old brain cells. Such a good challenge.

    1. Byzantine empire
    2. 1104
    Italian version

    In the campaign map, if I click on any hungarian or kievan character, the game crashes to desktop, reporting an "unspecified error". The same occurred when I killed an hungarian merchant with an assassin: the game crashed when the hungarian merchant was supposed to die crying "ahhh" or something...
    so, either the game does not like murders, or it may seem an audio problem...

    BTW, as long as I don't click any hungarian or kievan character, the mod i just awesome!

    Hi there! It seems there are some compatability problems with Non-English versions.

    Try this fix:

    NON-ENGLISH VERSIONS OF MIITW:
    If you have a non-English version of MIITW, and are experiencing CTD's when clicking on armies or characters, it appears that there is some incompatibility in the sound files.

    The following steps will correct this problem:

    1) Delete the events.dat and events.idx files in PDER_v.0.3A_Beta\data\sounds

    2) Copy events.dat and events.idx from your main Medieval II Total War\data\sounds to PDER_v.0.3A_Beta\data\sounds

    You may be able to continue from your save, but if not start a new campaign.

    See if that helps:

    If it doesn't seem to help, you can also try:

    If you have a non-English version of MIITW, and are experiencing CTD's when clicking on armies or characters, try copying your entire Medieval II Total War\data\sounds folder to the PDER_v.0.3A_Beta\data\sounds folder

    Let me know if these work for you!

    And thanks for the kind words about my mod!

    Cheers!

    Thanks for the catch! Surprised it even loaded up with that typo. But as always, Derfel, you have an eye like a hawk!
