    Default YAY! Rome Season!

Yes it is time to install rome again.

As I'm having an unbelievable craving for it...it's installing now and I can hear the music during installation, the frontend music, you know that feeling?!

I hate that, I always talk about how much I hated rome, but just every once in a while you get that unstoppable craving for the era...

I may try rome total realism, as a month ago when I tried EB I messed up the installation 3 times in a row, and then gave up..lol

I am eating tunafish right now it's so ****ing good.

mtw2 is better than rome in every single way, rome has way more bugs, worse graphics, worse ai, lower modability...

but to me mtw2 is just a bore.

that's why I'm craving rome right now, even though I'll get bored with it by the end of tonight...

edit: Swede, I kept ****ing EB installation up, I installed it 3 times in a row, and I'm a very experienced modder...
lol, so I'm just going to try something else...

I am quite sure we at EB tried to keep it as simple as we can.

Let me try to help you install it.

    1. Install RTW
    2. Patch 1.3 then 1.5
    3. Download the latest EB 0.81a2
    4. Install EB.
    5. Play

    - There are a great many other mods out there, but I do think trying EB is a must.

Roma Surrectum is coming out quite nicely at the moment, a huge overhaul of their units. The recent Carthaginians are beautiful.

You are an experienced modder and can't install the mod? I don't know jack about modding and i managed without any problems. Dunno what you keep screwing up lol. And don't try something else, i think you will like EB. It got that feeling. That Medieval 1 feeling of immersion

EB is great but it is just too too huge to every really get into a campaign before wanting to quit (at least that's how I felt with it).

If I were you, I'd get Roma Surrectum.

man I just read a discussion if phalanx would do good in the med ages, most likely no but it still just gives me such a craving for roman era talking about it...

it's insane because even though mtw2 is by technicality a better game, it does not have that ability to make you crave the era.

I agree with you on that, i really love MTW2 but i'm not really into the era (unless playing as my lovely spanish with the spanish guitar song and the RAPIDO screams)

i think its because of the music, even if its good it was not made as realistic as MTW1 in wich i really feel medieval.

you guys remember eurobattle 2 gregorian song and drums

and the arab deployment woman "AAAAHAAAALAAAAAAHHH"

    and the menu "scary" sound

and of corse viking battle !

it really made you into the era plus with the units speaking latin/arab/russian and the voice of the catholic advisor, who had an increadibly cool accent (specially when insulting you when failing on the tutorial for many times)

i think on MTW they centered much on western europe (I MEAN SCOTTLAND HAS ITS OWN VOICESET, BUT THE BYZANTINE EMPIRE DOES NOT WTFOMGLMAOBBQ)

In one thing i disagree with you, RTW like MTW2 never made me feel into the era.
