Multiplayer Problem with RTR PE

Ok, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but I'm hoping someone can help me with a multiplayer problem I'm having. My friend and I installed RTW patched it up to 1.5, made a copy of the folder, and then installed RTR PE over one of the folders. The game plays fine (as always), and when we multiplay against one another, sometimes it works fine and sometimes it says "Incompatible Game Data" despite the fact that we both have exactly the same install. Neither of us has modded anything, and we both do the Multiplayer Battle Reset script after getting to the Main Menu. One issue that may be related is that in addition to a vanilla folder of RTW (which I never play), I have been playing RTR PE over BI in a separate folder. I am wondering if that somehow is causing a problem, tricking my computer into thinking I am actually playing BI and my friend (who doesn't ahve BI) is not? If so, would it help if I started a game on the RTR PE without BI, thus hopefully tricking my computer into doing what I want? I am a veteran RTR and PE player, but I'm brand new to multiplayer, so I'm a bit lost. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks in advance

load RTR platinum, then push alt+tab the same time, on your desktop should be an icon saying, multiplayer battle reset, click it and then go to MP, should work

Are you saying that something later than 6 Gold works in multiplayer?

Its simple really, you just have to delete the map.rwm file everytime you want to play a multiplayer match. MC included a little program that appears like an Icon with the RTRPE 1.9 release, that will automatically delete the file.

So yes, MP works with RTRPE now.

Already done guys. We each do it every time. Any other possible culprits?

Hey there. I had the same problem and i finally fixed it. First, uninstall RTRPE then reinstall it. Make sure when you install it that the person you play with has the same boxes checked as you. This will allow you to play a match. After that match the file "map.rwm" will be made. You will have to go inside the RTRPE folder and manually delete map.rwm inside a folder called imperial_campaign every time before you play. hope it helps.
