    Icon5 Backing & Biosing

I would like to know the most legal way of backing up my computer game: Medieval II Total War. The Reason for this is; is because on my Medieval II disk I have a crack a moderate size. My computer can still read the disk but I fear soon my disk will break. So how can I back it up and play of the backed up disk? I have DVD-R disks. I will not use the future information to copy games and sell them.

Also I would like to know how to transfer the BIOS from my Playstation 2 console to my PC. (To avoid more problems I do have a playstation 2).

P.S I also have the original Medieval II disk and it is not a copy.

As far as I know. There is no legal way to do as you ask. Go and get it repaired and it *should* work fine. No guarentee however.

Other than that...just buy the game....again?

It's not illegal to make backups of anything as logn as you own the original copy, it is technicaly illegal to bypass security checks though.

Just burn the original onto a disk and ill pm you some details about how to get it to work if the need arises.

As to transferign the bios onto your pc this is very illegal and i can't think of anyway of doign it easily, google is your friend.

Its virtually impossible to get a 1:1 copy of a disc, your best bet is to find some decent copying software and use emulation.
