Roma surrectum CTD

Hi, I've just today downloaded Roma Surrectum and installed it, did everything that in the readme. Now I play the campaign, when I want to enter a battle it CTD's. I tried to load a game I was playing with the normal Rome, CTD. Tried to play Barbarian Invasian, CTD, it CTD's every time! Pretty annoying, now I can't play at all!

I did everything I had to do.. so the mod just does something wrong

Well, first of al this should be in the Roma Surrectum forum in their technical help section, and since thousands of other people have been able to use it correctly there must be something wrong with your installation. Others would have reported it if it was the mod, so saying things like that and pointing fingers is rude, unfortunately.

No I did not make a reinstall... but I have the game gold edition, rome and barbarian invasion on one DVD. And it is original, not downloaded. I did everything that was in the readme so this leaves me absolutely clueless.

The bolded part is your problem, RS is NOT repeat NOT compatible with BI, if you have RS installed you cannot play BI at the same time.

I was playing the regular Rome at first, and at first it worked then it CTD'd for a battle.
I have the Gold edition of Rome, with BI and Rome on one DVD, is this a problem?

Totally irrelevent, as soon as you install RS, you are not able to play vanilla rtw or bi anymore.

Did you install into the (RTW-BI) folder? Not the 'data' folder, and not the BI folder?

Also, the instructions say quite clearly on the download page:

"If you install this mod into a RTW-BI installation, BI will not longer work correctly. You can run this mod with the BI switch, but because BI shares a number of files with RTW, THIS MOD BREAKS BI...."

Yes I installed into the correct folder, the Rome total war folder. Barbarian Invasion.exe was also a file in the same folder as I have the Gold edition of RTW.

Well, Gold edition or not, this mod installs and plays with no problem if :

1. RTW\RTW-BI is installed correctly.
2. The mod is installed correctly.

If one or the other or both are broken, installed wrong, missing parts, put in the wrong directory...it won't work.
Make sure you've installed RTW-BI with a 'clean' CD...(no finger marks, food, smears, scratches, evidence of use as a frisbee, etc.
