    Default Merchants

    Quick question. I've noticed that merchants cannot get the "monopolist" line of traits since there are no (that I know of) occurences of duplicate resources in the same region. Question is, is this intentional?

    By the time I get a +2 natural skill merchant (middle of the road) with legal noose +1 skill (out of a 1-2 range) and a +1 guild trained to a good node, then park him there until he gets +2 graceful traveller (max) and +1 exotic trader trait, and also assuming he gets into and wins a scrape with another merchant for +1 (85% chance) he is still only a +8 merchant. This is of course assuming he does not acquire the loyal to coin trait which can reach up to a -2 easily.

    Additionally I can't seem to find the trigger for the "exotic tastes" trait that merchants can acquire. Neither in the TLR traits file nor the vanilla one. Can someone remind me what the trigger/s are?

    When I last played england I built a merchant guild house in London, yet merchants created there did not recieve the +1 for being guild trained. Particular to England? or maybe some sorta bug? or maybe its intentional and I've never seemed to notice.

    Thanks for your time guys!

    Speaking of merchants, due to the increased difficulty of acquiring merchants in TLR think you could replace the mercantile acquisition mission with something else merchant related?

    @Morty It was intentional but I forget why now. A fellow named Averroes was in charge of the resource tweaks back then.

    Merchants get extra experience with the higher Market buildings.

    Ill look into the Merchants Guild issue. It was intentional because of an issue with giving experience to agents in different building lines.

    @Freedom Missions are mostly hardcoded.

    Torn, maybe you can tweak those merchant guild missions ("obtain trade agreament with faction x") to be more rewarding...100 florins is not worth the effort
