    Default Alexander question

    Question about the campaign. I like to take my time on campaign's so I modded the file so that there is no time limit on the campaign, but my question is will the campaign end if Alexander dies of old age anyway? This would make the time limit practically useless, is there a way to mod it to fix Alexander's age?

    I think the campaign will probibly end because the hole point of the game is to acheieve what alexander did. I feel your pain with the game time limit, i like being able to relax when playing campaign and not having to worry about the time limit runing out.

    try bkb's alexander minimod. cant find it at the moment, but it also adds greek citess, and makes all factions playable, and also a few new units.

    I thought you could make the unplayable factions playable like in RTW and BI: By cut and pasting them into playable. Can you do the same in Alexander? (I'm planning to buy it.)

    Yeah it's the exact same mod method. Same file name and everything. Except that the factions in the file aren't named the same as the factions in the game. Just copy and paste all the factions. This is also where I increased my campaign time limit. Below the 'playable faction' section there is a line that gives the campaign start date and end date.

    I noticed in the same desc_strat file that one of Alexander's characteristics is 'immortal' does anyone know if this means that he won't die from old age. If this is true then it solves the campaign time limit problem. You can just adjust the end-date at the top of the same file.

    no, because some of the factions do not exist on the strat map(india)

    cool does the greek cities have any new units for example the theban sacred band, or have you not played it yourself?

    well it ends if you run out of turns and if you lose alexander in battle or he dies so i guess it would end, maybe try modding out alexander all together and then he can't die

    Don't know me how, but I read somewhere that you could mod the conditions so that after Alexander dies, there's a successor.

    Ah right cool, i wish i was good at that sort of thing (modding) i just get confused and scared im going to muck up the game lol, also i like to play online on rome total war, but i guess it would be alright on rome total war alexander because i dont go online on that game.
