old time noob question

i have being playing rome total for quit a long time but got bored of it and just started to get back into it but i lost my manual so here's my question how do change the capital of your empire

Those will make good substitutes for a game manual.

As for your particular question:

1) On the strategic map, double-click on a city.
2) A menu will open up. Click on the "Settlement Details" button on the lower left (small circle with a scroll inside).
3) On the lower left of the Settlement Details menu is a circular button with what looks like a lyre in it. That's the "Set Capital" button.
