    Default Questions

First of all, I just downloaded this mod recently, and I have to say it's pretty awesome. I have two questions though:

    1) Is the unit movement speed during battles intentionally raised to such a fast speed, and if it is, is there a way I can reduce it?

    2) In my Roman campaign, in the first turn of the game, I was attacked by Carthage and then 5 other nations that I've had no contact with declared war on me. Is this how the game is supposed to play out? I hear everyone saying that in order to play a good game you shouldn't blitz, but am I just supposed to sit there while the AI keeps attacking?

5 other nations in the first turn? The only possible factions that you CAN be attacked by in the first turn are Gaul and Carthage. Right...? But to answer your question, it's like that in the beginning. Once you rid Italy of Carthage it should get a little less hectic.

It's supposed to be like that. The other nations you're at war with are like that to show their hostility against you once you get near their borders. Mainly barbarians, they attack any nation they perceive as a threat. Fortunately, you can get peace treaties with some of them from the start.

Lt said this version was not for the faint hearted. Hannibal was added for a greater challenge. However, you get three legions instead of 2 this time so it's not that bad.

You should turtle for however long your economy takes to strengthen. Sicily and Corsica are easier targets in the beginning than the Gaulish territories. By the time you're able to, recruit more legions for your northern borders and some legions to expand with.

Battle movement speeds were Slowed from the vanilla, you must have played RTR which slows movement down too much, the settings I have is what RTR use to have back then, its the right balance.

If you are getting super fast speeds it may be related to the older dual core CPU which need to run on one CPU setting.
